1. What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a site. They keep a session, remember preferences, support security and (when used) statistics.
Similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels) may be treated as “cookies” for this policy.
2. Who is covered?
Everyone who visits kahraman.com is covered. Personal data processed via cookies is also subject to the Privacy Policy and the KVKK notice.
3. Types of cookies
Essential cookies: needed for basic functions, security, load balancing and your theme preference (light/dark). The site may not work properly without them.
Functional cookies: may remember preferences and improve the experience.
Performance / analytics cookies: may help us understand traffic, page views and errors. When used they are processed in aggregate and anonymised as far as possible; they are not used to build marketing profiles.
Marketing / third-party cookies: we do not use advertising or retargeting cookies by default. If added later, this policy will be updated and consent will be obtained where required.
4. Main cookie / storage examples
theme (or an equivalent local-storage key): stores light/dark preference. Purpose: interface consistency. Duration: until you delete it or clear browser data.
Session / security identifiers: short technical records may be kept to reduce form abuse and abnormal traffic.
Analytics identifiers (if any): only to measure site performance, with IP anonymisation and data minimisation.
5. Purposes and legal basis
Essential cookies: legitimate interest and necessity to provide the service, under KVKK Art. 5/2.
Analytics and other non-essential cookies: your consent or where the law allows. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Purposes: site security, remembering preferences, usage statistics, finding errors and improving quality.
6. Third parties
Hosting, CDN or analytics providers may set their own cookies or similar technologies and follow their own privacy policies. Data-processing agreements and minimum sharing apply where possible.
7. Managing your preferences
You can delete or block cookies, or ask for confirmation each time, in your browser. These settings are usually under Privacy / Cookies / Site data.
Blocking essential cookies may break theme preference, form security or some page functions.
On mobile devices you can also limit tracking / ads in the OS and browser settings.
8. Retention and updates
Cookie lifetimes are session-based or persistent. Persistent cookies expire after the set period or when you delete them.
This policy may be updated. Questions: [email protected]
